Your Piedmont aviary has been designed with ease of maintenance as a primary focal point. Design features such as all door construction, perch selection and location, removable bottom trays, Dual panes of glass, and our watering package make spot cleaning as well as comprehensive quarterly cleanings easier and faster. These design features add considerable cost to the aviary, but will pay for themselves quickly in cost savings due to less frequent cleaning requirements as well as a better presentation of your investment. Don't let anyone fool you, all aviaries should be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected every 3 months to prevent the buildup and spread of harmful bacteria and other organizims.

   Piedmont Aviaries offers the most comprehensive maintenance service for your aviary. We understand how important a maintenance regimen is for the health of your flock as well as the beauty of your investment. Piedmont Aviaries does not sub contract the maintenance of your aviary, so you will receive top quality service by our own staff. We have first hand knowledge of the birds in your flock and can make recommendations to improve the "aviary experience".

   Our Maintenance program is based on quarterly service. The maintenance performed is a comprehensive cleaning, disinfecting, bird hygiene, and resupply.

• We start off by catching all of the birds. As they are being caught one at a time, we will trim their nails and beaks as necessary, treat the birds with an insecticide, and all Gouldians will be treated for air sac mites.
• We will treat the entire aviary and unoccupied nests with insecticide.
• Remove corn cob bedding in bottom of the aviary.
• Wash all interior surfaces with a broad spectrum disinfectant.
• Clean all plexiglas/glass surfaces
• Clean and disinfect perches.
• Replace Garland and flower arrangement.
• Replace nesting material in unoccupied nests.
• Replace corn cob bedding.
• Resupply with seed, cuttlebone, and honey bell treats.
• Purchase any baby birds you wish to sell.
